Ximo Tebar performs with Big Band “Always and Forever” (Pat Metheny), with a style much more bluesy, intense and climatic than the original one.

“… The second song they played with Ximo Tebar was a ballad from the previous couple, Metheny / Curnow called ALWAYS AND FOREVER. Metheny interprets, among the many versions that will have done, with acoustic guitar electrified and a super slow tempo. The versions for Big Band that can be seen by Youtube are equally slow and sound like the beautiful ballad that is. Our Big Band embroidered it, although the virtuoso interpretation made by Ximo was with a moderate tempo and a style much more bluesy, intense and climatic than the original one. The ballad that Metheny plays with his guitar, string to string, pure melody, Ximo also did it but harmonized with chords while the big band gave him all the proper support and stroked it with all the instruments…” Read more…
